Overview

AGM provides a robust and well-rounded education for all K-6th students that fulfills the

standards outlined in our schoolwide learner outcomes. At the heart of our curriculum is our course offerings in ELA, Math, Social Studies and Science, along with Armenian language classes, ensuring that students not only achieve academic excellence but also develop a strong connection to their cultural heritage and identity. This comprehensive approach allows students to become well-rounded individuals, strongly rooted in their Armenian identity, and equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in a diverse and global society. Students demonstrate proficiency in all subject areas and develop an appreciation for their Armenian culture, language, and heritage.

AGM students are regularly challenged and supported with personalized attention in classes that have a fairly low student to teacher ratio. Faculty implements current research-based methodologies and content learned through ongoing professional development. In addition to our core curricular classes, AGM offers a rich variety of co-curricular classes to enhance the learning experience including physical education, Armenian dance and music classes, art, and instrumental orchestra.

Common Core Standards

The Common Core standards guide AGM curriculum. The Common Core standards are a set of educational benchmarks that outline what students should know and be able to do at each grade level in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics from kindergarten through 12th grade. The standards focus on developing critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills to ensure our students are well-prepared for their years beyond AGM.

**The state has adopted lists of recommended curriculum materials for grades K-8 in math and English language arts, which includes McGraw-Hill Wonders for ELA and Savvas Envision for Math.
